# Online website check — SiteVitals

> SiteVitals helps website owners and web teams find technical issues on public pages and understand what each check can actually confirm.

Checks run against one URL at a time. The report shows facts collected during that run, incomplete observations, and possible next steps. Russian is the default product language; an English interface is also available.

## What is checked

- DNS: whether the hostname resolves to public IP addresses.
- HTTPS/TLS: whether a secure connection succeeds, and the certificate hostname, expiry, and trust chain.
- HTTP: the final response code and redirect chain.
- Response timing: DNS lookup, connection, TLS handshake, and time to first byte (TTFB) measured separately. This is not a full page-load measurement.
- Technical search signals: robots.txt, a discovered sitemap, noindex directives, canonical URL, title, description, and H1 on the selected page.

Available results depend on the checked website's response. These technical signals do not confirm that a page is in a search index, its search position, or whether it generates leads.

## How the check works

1. The user enters the address of a publicly accessible page.
2. SiteVitals makes a limited request and stores the check results.
3. The report shows each status, scope, collected evidence, and a possible next step.

The public check is read-only: it does not submit forms, sign in to websites, or change their content or settings.

## Monitoring

After signing in and verifying control of a domain, the owner can save the website and explicitly enable daily or weekly monitoring of one selected page. The website's state between individual checks is unknown; weekly summaries include only observed runs and missed intervals.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need an account to run the first check?

No. A one-time check can be started without signing in. An account is needed to save a website and enable monitoring.

### Does SiteVitals check Google or Yandex rankings?

No. The report checks technical signals on one page. Actual search rankings and index inclusion are not measured.

### Does the check submit a test lead?

No. The public check only reads available data. It does not submit forms, send emails, or perform other actions.

### Which speed metrics are measured?

DNS lookup, server connection, TLS handshake, and time to first byte are measured separately. This is not a full page-load score or a field metric from real users.

### Can I enable recurring monitoring?

Yes. After signing in and verifying control of a domain, you can select one page and a daily or weekly schedule.

### Can I check a website that requires sign-in?

No. The first check works with a publicly accessible page. Authentication and private pages are not used.
